How to Use the LumiList Extension
Automatic reading progress tracking for your favourite web novels.
Installation
The LumiList browser extension is available for Chrome and Firefox. Install it from the official store:
- Chrome: Chrome Web Store
- Firefox: Firefox Add-ons (coming soon)
Once installed, the extension icon will appear in your browser toolbar.
Getting Your API Token
The extension doesn't use your password — it needs an API token. Generate one from your account settings:
- Go to your Settings page (you must be logged in).
- Scroll to the API Tokens section.
- Enter a name (e.g., "My Browser") and click Generate Token.
- Copy the token immediately — it looks like
lnt_aB3xK9mQ.5F8zT2pR7vY4...and is shown only once.
If you lose the token, revoke it from Settings and generate a new one.
Connecting the Extension
Click the LumiList extension icon in your browser toolbar to open the popup:
- Enter your Server URL — by default this is
https://lumilist.cloud. - Paste your API token into the API Token field.
- Click Connect. The extension will verify the token and show your dashboard.
The token is stored securely in your browser's local storage. You only need to do this once per browser.
How It Works
Once logged in, the extension works silently in the background:
- Visit a supported source — navigate to a novel chapter on Royal Road, Scribble Hub, WuxiaWorld, Webnovel, or Mvlempyr.
- Auto-detection — the extension reads the page title and chapter number from the site.
- Progress recorded — when you've spent enough time on a chapter, it's marked as read and synced to your LumiList account.
- Dashboard updates — your reading progress appears on your LumiList dashboard automatically.
Supported Sites
The extension works on all 5 supported sources out of the box — no configuration needed:
- Royal Road (royalroad.com)
- Scribble Hub (scribblehub.com)
- WuxiaWorld (wuxiaworld.com)
- Webnovel (webnovel.com)
- Mvlempyr (mvlempyr.io)
Features
- Automatic progress sync — chapters you read on any supported site are immediately reflected in your LumiList dashboard.
- Reading sessions — the extension tracks how long you spend reading, which powers your reading analytics and streak data.
- Offline queue — progress is queued locally when you're offline and syncs automatically when you reconnect.
- Context menu — right-click on any supported page to quickly add the novel to your library or jump to the LumiList dashboard.
- Widget view — the extension popup shows your most recently updated novels at a glance.
Adding Novels
When you visit a supported novel page that you're not tracking yet, the extension will detect it. You can add it to your library directly from the extension popup, or from the LumiList web app using the Add by URL feature in the dashboard (the + button).
Troubleshooting
Extension not detecting chapters
Make sure you're logged into your LumiList account in the extension popup. If you're on a supported site and the extension isn't detecting chapters, try refreshing the page or reinstalling the extension.
Progress not syncing
Check your internet connection. The extension queues progress locally and syncs when connectivity is restored. You can also manually trigger a sync by opening the extension popup.
Incognito / Private mode
To use the extension in incognito mode, go to your browser's extension settings, find LumiList, and enable Allow in incognito (Chrome) or Run in Private Windows (Firefox).
Privacy
The extension only reads page content on supported novel sites — it never accesses your browsing history, personal data, or other websites. Your reading data is synced securely via HTTPS. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
